Mighty Sight Review
You are probably looking for an unbiased Mighty Sight review and know what Mighty Sight glasses are, but in case you don’t, they are magnifying glasses with built-in LEDs.
This is my honest review of the Mighty Sight LED glasses.
What I liked
Might Sight glasses provide 160% magnification. The LEDs provide bright light on whatever you are looking at, which is very convenient and works better than lighted handheld magnifying glass.
They appear to be made of high quality materials and are put together well. They feel solid but not heavy. Mighty Sight glasses are comfortable. They are lightweight and the nose pads feel like soft silicone.
A simple push button switch, conveniently located on the bottom of the left temple arm, controls the lights.
I really appreciate that the USB charging port is easy to open and close and the included USB charging cord is more than long enough to be usable.
What I Did Not Like
Not too much to say here, but Mighty Sight may not fit over some larger framed prescription glasses. I can live with black and gray frames, but different color options would be nice.
My Quick Take Away
I found the Mighty Sight glasses to function much better than expected. They are solidly built, very comfortable and provide very decent light. I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a little magnification to read small print or complete intricate tasks, or for anyone wishing they had a third hand to hold a flashlight.

Full Might Sight Review
Let me say, I was a little skeptical when I ordered these. I thought the infomercial was a little cheesy and honestly I had pretty low expectations. What hooked me, was I was looking for exactly what the product claims to deliver. I need a little magnification and light to see when I am working on DIY plumbing and electrical projects around the house. I was pleasantly surprised with Mighty Sight.
I ordered my pair from Amazon. The next day, a pair of Mighty Sight glasses, microfiber case, usb charging cable and an instruction pamphlet arrived in a hassle free package. All things being equal, I always opt for the hassle free packaging.
The glasses are shipped partially charged and the LEDs worked right out of the box. There is an LED in front of each temple arm. A push button switch is positioned on the bottom of the left temple arm just forward of the USB charging port cover. The round switch is easy to feel and provides tactile feedback and a subtle audible click when pressed. Press the switch to turn the LEDs on. Press it again to turn them off.
I tested them in our laundry room with the overhead light off. The LEDs provide very bright white light. With the light and magnification I was able to read the small print on the bottom of the Mighty Sight box.
There are a couple of Do Not warnings. Do not operate a vehicle while wearing…, and do not use as eye protection. The magnification is listed on the box as being + 2.5 diopter.
The package also indicates compliance with ANSI standard Z80.31. This standard specifies minimum requirements for ready to wear near vision glasses that can be sold without a prescription. This is not an ANSI impact rating like you would find on a pair of safety glasses. Which is why they have the do not use as eye protection message.
I can’t tell you how many time I have had to use my teeth, a knife or a pair of needle nose pliers to yank open a USB charging port cover. The USB charging port cover on the Mighty Sight’s is super easy to open and close with just a thumb nail.
The included charging cable is about 19” long, which is actually long enough to be useful. Many times the include cable with consumer products is too short to be usable. The battery charges in about thirty minutes and will last about three hours. There is a red charge indicator light next to the charging port that blinks when charging and is solid when fully charged.
The included “instruction manual” is actually just a three page pamphlet. But it is well written and useful. The photos and images make it easy to understand how to use and charge the glasses.
According to the instructions. The glasses should be worn with the bridge down on your nose. It is recommended that object you are looking at be about 12” to 19” away. This is referred to as the focal length in the instruction manual. Depending on your vision, this will vary. Wearing Might Sight over my prescription glasses, 19” seemed to be the sweet spot for very small print.
Wearing over prescription glasses.
If you are wearing Mighty Sight over prescription glasses, you are supposed to leave a little space between your glasses and the Mighty Sight glasses. My prescription glasses are about 5.5” wide and 1.5” tall. These are about the same dimensions as Mighty Sight.
I tried Mighty Sight glasses over two different styles of prescription glasses and they worked with both pair. Although, it felt a little strange, wearing glasses over glasses, similar to wearing safety glasses over prescription glasses. The Mighty Sight glasses did not feel like they would fall off, even turning my head side to side quickly. But I can see how this would not be comfortable for some people.
Alternatives to Mighty Sight
In my opinion, Mighty sight is a better option than the copy cat options out there. Mighty Sight has thousands of four and five star reviews. Many of the negative reviews mentioned that Mighty Sight did not fit over their prescription glasses or that the magnification was too strong.
The Dicfeos Headband Magnifier with LED Light (This is an affiliate link. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.) has a different design and fits better over prescription glasses and has various magnification lenses. The multiple lenses provide magnification from 1X, 1.5X, 2.0X, 2.5X, and 3.5X. The duel LED lights are centered over the lenses which provides focused light on your subject.
The Mighty Sight LEDs are placed at the end of each temple arm which provide a wide spectrum of light across your subject. The Dicfeos Headband Magnifier light is more focused. Like Mighty Sight, Dicfeos has several thousand four and five star reviews.
Dicfeos might be a better choice for you if you wear prescription glasses, especially if your glasses are wider than 5.5” or taller than 1.5”.
Mighty Sight Review Summary
At less than twenty bucks, Mighty Sight LED magnifier glasses are worth the money. If you do not wear glasses and want a little magnification with built-in LED lights, I would not hesitate to pick up a pair. I would say the same if you, wear small profile prescription glasses or wear contact lenses.
The Mighty Sight glasses are well made and comfortable. They are not complicated to use. The switch is simple to turn on and off and the glasses are easy to charge. I would feel completely comfortable giving a pair to an older parent or grand parent, because they are so easy to use and charge.
Who should not buy Mighty Sight
You will probably not be happy with Mighty Sight if you wear large framed prescription glasses. By large, I mean wider than 5.5” or taller than 1.5”. Might Sight is not going to fit over your frames. Your best option is to try the Dicfeos Headband Magnifier with LED.
Final Word on Might Sight
Unless you will have trouble with these not fitting over your prescription glasses, I definitely recommend them. If you own a pair, please let me know how they work for you.
